Oasis Tarzana is an effective luxury detox and rehabilitation program for adult men and women struggling with drug or alcohol use. Our private gated facility is located in the gorgeous Tarzana, California and implements an individualized therapeutic and lifestyle management plan for each individual. Once an individual is accepted into our program, they are known as residents during their treatment stay. Our well-rounded approach treats the mind and body with the oversight of an experienced Addictionologist medical doctor, clinicians and staff specializing in recovery who will guide and support you during treatment. We understand that the atmosphere residents recover in is extremely important so we have taken steps to ensure comfort and luxurious amenities during their treatment at our private facility. Our program and facility provides an alcohol and drug free environment promoting and inspiring a new lifestyle and lifestyle management techniques fostering a resident's decision to live free from the alcohol or drugs that have inhibited the full potential of freedom, happiness and contentment one can achieve. It is ultimately the resident's decision to continue a lifestyle free of drug or alcohol use which has impaired their life and caused their need or desire to attend inpatient services, and Oasis Tarzana provides the environment, medical care and psychological services to give the resident the best chance to return to school, work or family motivated with a new perspective and desire for a substance free life.
Our Services
Oasis Tarzana's residents are overseen by our addiction medicine medical doctor within the first twenty-four hours of arrival and throughout their treatment. Our facility is an alcohol and drug free environment and our program promotes a substance free lifestyle, inspiring young people and professionals alike to live the best life they can. Medications for the management of withdrawal symptoms are provided by our addiction medicine specialist physician under his direction and care and are voluntary; it is not mandatory to take medications while receiving substance use treatment if the resident so chooses. Further, Oasis Tarzana is licensed to treat dual diagnosis residents who are those who have a primary diagnosis of alcohol or drug use and a secondary diagnosis of mental health as both can be treated at our facility by our physician. Addiction medicine medical doctors are specially trained to provide medically assisted treatment for the withdrawal symptoms of heavy drug or alcohol use and to stabilize residents to feel as best as possible from the toll usage has had on them.
During your treatment at Oasis Tarzana, accommodations include spacious bedrooms, entertainment and outings as well as food provided from restaurants and popular eateries that are customized to each resident's eating preferences or allergies.
Our program is structured and custom tailored to meet the needs and goals of residents where we promote an alcohol and drug free lifestyle and teach the necessary coping skills and strategies to maintain this new way of life. Residents receive counseling and psychoeducation from master’s level or higher clinicians experienced in the substance use field for primary substance use as well as secondary mental health issues related to an emotional, behavioral, or cognitive disorders. Therapy and counseling sessions include individualized, goal-oriented therapeutic and educational treatment to support recovery efforts and techniques in lifestyle management. We provide a private, safe, therapeutic environment that promotes individualized recovery with twenty-four hour a day, seven days a week staff to support you during the process of getting the drugs or alcohol out of your system. We also provide trauma focused therapy to address trauma and grief to lessen the impact of feelings that come with such events resident's have experienced in their life which cause their decision to use drugs or alcohol in the first place.
Oasis Tarzana’s program provides both individual and group therapy. Individual therapy is done by licensed professionals experienced in the substance use field. We utilize therapies such as Evidence Based Treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Therapy, Experiential Therapy and education on addiction. We strive to make sure residents have a positive experience with our services and feel motivated to continue their new way of life and manage their new lifestyle by providing them with the coping skills, trauma focused therapy and meaningful support for ways to address the issues that surround their substance use. Oasis Tarzana provides focused therapy as a necessary tool for residents seeking treatment to learn about themselves and understand how to let go or otherwise manage the trauma they have experienced that has lead to their substance use and to live a more peaceful, meaningful life without the self-criticism and detrimental effects drugs or alcohol has had.
Oasis Tarzana has a spacious, supportive and caring twenty-four hour supervised environment where both detoxification and residential residents receive treatment regardless of which portion of treatment they are in. The first portion of a resident's stay with us is based on whether they meet the medical necessity criteria and become authorized for detoxification services. If detoxification criteria is not met then the resident may be authorized to stay for residential inpatient services where they will also be under our addictionologist physician's care and provided with medically assisted treatment under the direction of our physician during their treatment. If a resident is authorized for detoxification inpatient services, they are determined to have medical necessity for these services because of their substance use such that withdrawing from substances is determined to need supervision by our physician with additional supervision steps taken of the resident. Detoxification services are designed to administer to the severity of the resident’s level of intoxication, to achieve safe and supportive physician provided medically assisted treatment withdrawal medication and once the detoxification portion is complete, the resident then joins the next portion of our services which is called residential inpatient treatment. When residential inpatient treatment begins, structured, meaningful group sessions focused on coping skills, sobriety strategies and insightful psychoeducational discussions surrounding the topics associated with substance use are provided during daily groups. Individual therapy sessions by our clinician also begins during residential treatment, however, if the resident would like to start individual therapy during the detoxification portion they may elect to do so. All residents are under the care of our addiction medicine physician during their entire stay regardless of beginning treatment in the detoxification or residential portion.
